Super Mario Kart Composer Soyo Oka's Next Work will be for Orange Island
Soyo Oka, a legendary composer who has worked on some renowned classic games such as Super Mario Kart and Pilotwings, has just been confirmed to be collaborating on Orange Island. If that game sounds familiar, you might remember our interview that we had conducted with the game’s producer Ted Sterchi.
Oka worked at Nintendo from 1987 to 1995, working alongside legendary composer Koji Kondo and the like. Not only did she work on the games listed above, but she also worked on others such as Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally, Super Mario All-Stars and Wario Woods.
In addition to Soyo Oka, Orange Island will also feature Hiroki Kikuta, another legendary composer who had worked on Secret of Mana and Soul Calibur V.
The soundtrack in Orange Island is shaping up to be one for the ages!
