Monster Hunter Rise Update 2.0 Provides a Wealth of New Content to an Already Stellar Entry

A month after the initial release Monster Hunter Rise has released its 2.0 update, bringing with it a plethora of new monsters for end game hunts. Three Elder Dragons return, the previously released Apex Monsters are now huntable out in the field, two new Apex Monsters are added to the Rampage and during the digital event, there was a teaser for new invading monsters to join the fight.

Turns out, the new invading monster is none other than the air bomber itself, Bazelgeuse, bringing its explosive attitude on the go. Take on five quests to hunt Bazelgeuse in each of the fields or ride him into battle to deal large amounts of damage to different monsters that you’re hunting. Personally, I’m genuinely excited for his return to the series and can’t wait to get back into the hunt.

The returning Elder Dragons are Teostra, Kushala Daora and Chameleos, and for new hunters, please don’t use your traps on them as they are immune. We also have Apex Diablos and Apex Rathalos joining the Rampage fights, with hopefully standard hunts brought in for them at a later date.

With the endgame officially launched, there is no longer a cap on your hunter rank. The buddy level cap has been increased and the armor upgrade level has also been increased. In addition, layered armor is finally available to craft, allowing you to wear whatever gear you prefer while still maintaining a consistent look.

Update 3.0, which is due to come out at the end of May, will continue the story that'll provide an end to the cliffhanger left at the end of the base release of Monster Hunter Rise.

So with six new monsters to hunt plus normal hunts for Apex Monsters, get ready for a challenging time hunters as we take their body parts to craft stronger weapons and armor.
