Kingdom Hearts 3 Director, Tetsuya Nomura, says that a Switch Port is 'Possible'
In a recent interview with Famitsu, series Director Tetsuya Nomura was asked about the possibility of Kingdom Hearts 3 making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Nomura said that a Switch port is “possible to release” and:
“Other hardware is not limited to the Nintendo switch, and we will consider all of them after the release of the PS4 and Xbox one versions.”
– Tetsuya Nomura (Translation by Newsweek)
Whilst it is clear that Nomura meant to say that it can come to other platforms (like PC and future console hardware), the fact that Nomura acknowledges the possibility of a Switch port first and foremost is a very good sign.
It is also important to note that Kingdom Hearts 3 runs in Unreal Engine 4, which the Nintendo Switch is very capable to run and has many games in that engine (including Yoshi’s Crafted World).
