Kickstarter Project of the Week: Guts 'N Goals
For this week’s Switch Kickstarter Project of the Week, we will be looking at CodeManu’s Guts ‘N Goals. The game is slated to release in later this year on PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
Here’s the overview:
Guts ‘N Goals is a sports-arcade beat ‘em up, where you score goals by hitting balls with bats. Choose from over 25 unique characters, and enjoy this hilarious take on the world’s game!
Guts ‘N Goals combines fast-paced, action-packed combat expected from the beat ’em up genre with addictive soccer-style gameplay in stadiums that each have unique mechanics that add an extra layer of fun to each match.
Use a mix of strategy and brute force to score on your opponent. There are no red flags in Guts ‘N Goals, so if KOing your opponent’s character factors into your strategy, then go for it!
Each character has a unique ability that adds another layer of strategy to Guts ‘N Goals. These abilities vary widely and can single-handedly swing the momentum of a match.
Each stadium has a unique design and, along with it, a unique way to play the game of soccer. Score a goal with a beach ball on the beach, and hit a hockey puck at the skating rink.
Enjoy Guts ‘N Goals anyway you want. Game modes can be played locally singleplayer, split-screen PvP, local & online Co-op, and online PvP.
Guts ‘N Goals features over 25 unique characters. Each character has their own style and special ability.
There are quite a few great Kickstarter game projects at the moment and each one deserves to be receiving success. However when I saw Guts ‘N Goals, I was surprised to see that it wasn’t doing as well as the others. I was surprised because this game has charm, a unique premise, wacky characters, great music, online modes and that video game soccer that’s all the rage these past few years. This one deserves our readers’ attentions the most because it would be an absolute shame if it didn’t reach its goal.
Guts ‘N Goals requires €8,526 and it is currently sitting at €1,420 after 71 backers with 20 days remaining. If you’d like to support the development of this game to help it come to Nintendo Switch, click the link below to visit the Kickstarter page.
