Crysis Remastered Just Got Leaked and it's Coming to Nintendo Switch
According to the official website, Crytek’s Crysis is getting the remaster treatment and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch! Well, it kind of does, as this information comes from the site’s cookies data and isn’t usually seen to general visitors of the site.
In this data, there is key art banner (shown above) that shows the Nintendo Switch logo, as well as a note confirming that this is a series first:
Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and – for the very first time – Nintendo Switch.
Now I’m not one to know technical jargon when it comes to graphics in video games, so I’m not going to try and explain what ray-tracing is. To save myself from embarrassment, I figured I’d quote an article from Wired that covers this very topic:
Simply put, ray tracing is a technique that makes light in videogames behave like it does in real life. It works by simulating actual light rays, using an algorithm to trace the path that a beam of light would take in the physical world. Using this technique, game designers can make virtual rays of light appear to bounce off objects, cast realistic shadows, and create lifelike reflections.

Crysis Remastered on Switch is said to release in late 2020.
