Kickstarter Project of the Week: Fire Saviours
For this week’s Switch Kickstarter Project of the Week, we will be looking at Games Lawn’s Fire Saviours that is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo. The game is slated to release approximately in June 2020 on PC with consoles at a later date.
Here’s the overview:
Forget guns and shooting games… I’m super excited to create a game where our everyday unsung heroes…our firefighters are in the center of the action…actively saving people, animals, properties, and our beautiful forests from the devastating fires…fighting to protect others in need.
This game is designed for release on all platforms and is a fresh take on how a game can be exciting, challenging and rewarding. It’s about saving people – not killing them, but will have amazing challenges as similar or more than any action role-playing game. The development has begun, with early gameplay under construction. I have prioritized the development of this game and have paused other projects, so this can start having an impact as soon as possible.
The plan is to contribute a portion of the revenue generated by game sales to Australian firefighting organizations including the CFA and RFS. I want to help in a way that I can! The goal here isn’t to use Indiegogo as a fundraising platform, but to reach out to passionate gamers globally and create ongoing revenue to support our firefighters too.
As the last paragraph in the quote has stated, a portion of the revenue from the game will be donated and create ongoing revenue to support Australian firefighters. With the skies as black as night in the middle of the day, you become a firefighter, putting their life on the line to combat the seemingly never-ending inferno that ravaged all across Australia.
Fire Saviours requires AUD$25,000 and is currently sitting at AUD$13,393 after 54 backers with 17 days remaining. If you’d like to support the development of this game, click the link below to visit the Indiegogo page.
