As much as we love covering Nintendo news and always want to talk about the latest Mario or Legend of Zelda game, we also love to talk about indies. This is also true for ones you may never have heard of and Good Knight may be one of them.

Good Knight is a one-button bullet hell arcade game with a head-banging, axe-swinging, blood-pumping metal soundtrack. From watching the video below, Good Knight is certainly not for the faint of heart. The adrenaline-pumping, nonstop action will have you sitting at the edge of your seat to a point where “butt clenching” is a perfect way to describe it.

Slay hell in this Philippine horrors, history and literature fuse with Greek stories like Dante’s Inferno story.

Good-Knight is a  Butt-clenching Arcade Metal Game influenced by games like Super-Hexagon, Castlevania and Touhou.

It’s almost genre-less as it fuses genres like Shooters Rhythm Puzzle Bullet-Hell.

I also must commend the art style as the 3D models of the knights have a 2D comic style which ties in well with the game’s 3D aesthetic. With everything happening at once, the game seems to run as smooth as butter, and there’s nothing worse than a frame rate dip in the middle of all that mayhem.

Good Knight is planned for PC and consoles, but the latter is strongly based on crowdfunding. So if you want to show your support, head on over to the game’s itch.io page to try out the free early access demo or even just a follow on Twitter can help you to keep up to date with its progress.

We’ll be watching this one closely!
