BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! may start off pretty simple, but it gets tricky pretty quickly. So let’s get started on the co-op segment: World 11 (The Last World x 2).

As there is a lot to cover, you may stumble across a solution to a level that may either be incomplete or not to the best it could be. If you have any solutions, please be so kind as to email us at team@switchaboo.com and we’ll be sure to provide credit if we use it.

World 11-1

Boxes Used: 22

Have one player make three boxes horizontally and place it down so that that the right box is covering the right blue silhouette. Then have the other player make four boxes vertically and place them on top of the leftmost box so that it is teetering and partly covering the silhouette above.

For the red silhouettes, have both players stand on the topmost ledge. Then have one player make four boxes in this order: left, up, left, up and place it down on the middle step so that the topmost box is covering the lower silhouette. Then have the other player jump up to the top box, make a three-boxed forward facing L and place it down so that it is teetering and partly covering the other red silhouette.

Lastly for the Crown, have one player stand on the ledge facing to the left making four boxes horizontally to the left and the other player just underneath the leftmost box. Drop the boxes onto the player and jump onto the boxes. Then the bottom player needs to make three boxes vertically above themselves (without letting them go), opening up the roller doors and allowing the top player to grab the Crown.

Have the bottom player make another box and drop them down so that you can get to the door.

World 11-2

Boxes Used: 12

Have one player jump on top of the other and make a single box upwards (without letting it go). Then together, jump onto the moving platform and proceed underneath the laser, protected by the box above (retract the box after that). The bottom player can then make a three-boxed right hook, allowing both players to get up.

For the second part and the first Crown, have one player stand on the ledge and make four boxes in this order: right, down x2, right and drop them down so that they fall on the left box. That player can then jump onto the boxes and over to the other side. The second player then needs to jump onto the boxes and make two vertical boxes to the right of them. Throw them down so that they land on the rightmost box (best to wait until the platform stops moving) and then jump into the middle to grab the Crown. Jump up to the topmost box and over to the other side to proceed onwards.

Lastly, have one player make a few boxes to the right over the ledge and hold them there. This then allows the other player to jump onto the moving platform as it is going up. Make one box to the left, protecting you from the laser and jump to grab ahold of the Crown as shown below and fall down to the blocks still being held by the first player.

Now wait for the moving platform to go down and start moving back up again so that you’re not jumping into the laser. Throw the box over to the moving platform and push the box to the far right and whilst this is happening, have the first player retract all boxes but one and use that as a hook to get to the platform. Now have the first player make a box left to protect everyone from the top laser and make for the door.

World 11-3

Boxes Used: 22

Have one player stand on top of the other and make five boxes vertically to the right (hold it there to retract afterwards) with the first player on top of them, lifting them up to ledge where the blue silhouette is. This will allow the bottom player to retract the boxes and make one to the right so that they can jump and hook onto the ledge. Then make a three-boxed backwards L to use as stairs.

For the Crown, have one player stand as far on the edge as possible and make five buttons in this order: right, down x2, right x2 (keep holding down Y as we’ll be retracting them afterwards). Then have the other player jump down and stand as far to the edge of the last box as possible to nab the Crown as shown below. Then walk back once, have the first player retract one box and then make one up so that the second player can get back to safety; now the first player can retract the boxes.

Now do the same thing but upwards and with BOXGIRL being hoisted up. When BOXGIRL is as far up she’d go thanks to BOXBOY, have her make a three-boxed left hook to get up to the red silhouette. Now BOXGIRL can jump to the right ledge with BOXBOY’s boxes still being held out. Then BOXBOY needs to retract those boxes and make two horizontal boxes to the right above himself, whilst BOXGIRL makes five boxes in this order: left, down x2, left x2 and holding them there. This will allow BOXBOY to jump and hook onto the boxes above, and then we can do the same trick as before before retracting one and making another up one, creating stairs for BOXBOY. Once that’s done, retract the boxes.

For the second Crown, have BOXGIRL stand on the edge and make five boxes in this order without letting them go: right x2, down, right x2. This will allow BOXBOY to walk halfway across, which he’ll then need to make a three-boxed right hook to the right of himself and hook onto the ledge. Have BOXGIRL retract the boxes and BOXBOY jump into the blue silhouette. Now have BOXBOY stand on the bottom ledge teetering and make five boxes in this order without letting go: left x3, down, left. BOXGIRL can now drop down and make two boxes horizontally to throw down onto BOXBOY’s makeshift step. This will allow her to creep to the end and grab the Crown like last time. Oh, and make sure to activate the red silhouette.

Now BOXGIRL can walk to the far right and BOXBOY can retract his boxes. Have one player stand on top of the other and have the bottom player make a four-boxed right hook above themselves, hoisting the top player up and allowing the bottom player to hook onto the ledge and pull themselves up.

World 11-4

Boxes Used: 11

Have BOXGIRL make a single box to the far right to act as a step and have BOXBOY make four boxes horizontally to the left and place them on the spring so that they’re teetering over the edge. Then have BOXGIRL stand on the edge of the last box and BOXBOY stand on the button so that BOXGIRL can activate the red silhouette and move onwards.

For the Crown, have BOXGIRL make a single box on the red spring. Then have BOXGIRL stand on top of BOXBOY to the far right and have BOXBOY make a few boxes up so that she can get up to the ledge and retract the boxes afterwards. Now make BOXBOY stand on the box on the spring and make five boxes in this order: left, up, right x2, down to protect him from the lasers. Once that’s done, BOXGIRL can stand on the red button, throwing BOXBOY up into the air, activating the blue silhouette and grabbing the Crown.

Now push that single box from BOXGIRL to the far right to use as a step to the door.

World 11-5

Boxes Used: 14

Have one player stand on top of the other and stand underneath the Crown. Now have the bottom player make four boxes upwards so the top player can jump and grab the Crown, only to retract the boxes once that’s done.

Now have that player stand on top of the other again and stand underneath the square warp tile. Have the top player make a four-boxed right hook above themselves and jump through the warp tile, hooking onto the ledge to the right. Pull up by pressing Y and stand on the blue button.

Now have the left player make a three-boxed right hook above themselves and hook onto the now open gap to the right. Then make a four-boxed right hook to the right of them and jump to the right, hooking onto the ledge and pulling them up. Now have one player place a box onto the blue button but have it pushed to the right so it is half on the button.

Now have the other player stand on top of the box, make two boxes to the right and jump into the circle warp portal, teleporting them to the top-left side and hooking them onto the ledge. Follow that by the other player jumping through, landing on the first player’s hook and proceeding to the door, followed by the first player.

World 11-6

Boxes Used: 22

Have BOXBOY make one box to the right and hold it whilst BOXGIRL jumps onto it and then make two more boxes up (so three boxes vertically). Shoot that to the other side, pressing in the button with BOXGIRL on the other side of the zappers. Now have BOXGIRL stand just to the left of the zappers and make four boxes in this order: up, left, down, left and hold them there. This will allow BOXBOY to get up and over them, then have BOXGIRL retract the boxes. Lastly. Have BOXBOY stand on top of BOXGIRL and have her make a three-boxed right hook above herself, allowing BOXBOY to jump up and BOXGIRL to hook herself up.

For the Crown, have BOXBOY make three vertical squares down and to the right of himself and shoot them towards the red button. Have both players jump down and with BOXBOY standing on top of BOXGIRL, make a five-boxed even right hook and hold them there as BOXBOY jumps across to the other side, only to retract them once that’s done. Now for the Crown… Have BOXGIRL stand on the second block to the right on the platform and make five boxes in this order: right x3, up, right; the rightmost box should be just above the left corner of the ledge. Now have BOXBOY dismantle the three boxes by pressing X, making the platform disappear and BOXGIRL falling a square, but she can now pull herself over to the other side, underneath the zappers and grabbing the Crown along the way.

For the second Crown and the door, have BOXBOY stand on top of BOXGIRL and make one box up and another right. Have BOXGIRL jump and then BOXBOY shoot the boxes across and onto the blue button. Then have BOXGIRL make a three-boxed right hook above herself, allowing both player up onto the blue platform. Now have both players jump onto the left box (with BOXBOY on top of BOXGIRL again) and have BOXGIRL (standing on the very edge of the left box) make five boxes in this order: up x2, left x3 and hold them there. This will allow BOXBOY to walk over and carefully grab the Crown as shown below. Now BOXBOY can jump over to the door and BOXGIRL can retract the boxes going left and make a three-boxed right hook above herself to pull herself up to the door.

World 11-7

Boxes Used: 27

Have one player stand on top of the other and situated both players underneath and one block to the right of the Crown. Have the bottom player make five boxes upwards (don’t let go of them) and have the player on top move half to the left and make one box right and two down. Now that you have the Crown, have both players retract the boxes.

Now move over to the right, again with one player on top of the other, and have the other bottom player make a four-boxed right hook and shoot it with the other player on top of them. This will cover the blue silhouette and the first player will be taken up via the blue platform. Now the player to the right of screen must stand in the middle of the two boxes and make five boxes in this order: left x2, up, left, up. This will act as stairs, allowing you to jump onto the red platform. When both players are on the red platform, dismantle all boxes and proceed upwards.

For the Crown, have one player stand on top of the other and have the bottom player make five boxes upwards without letting go of them. This will allow the top player to grab the Crown and jump over to the blue platform before you retract the boxes.

Have the player on the platform stand on the left edge and make five boxes in this order without letting them go: left, down, left, down, left. Now have the bottom player make two boxes up and one right and jump to hook onto the top player’s boxes. Climb the steps to the platform and then retract the boxes. Facing left, make five boxes in this order: left, up x2, left x2 and shoot them over to the left side, covering the blue silhouette. Now raised, Have the other player make the same amount and order of boxes and shoot them to the left in order to cover the red silhouette. Make both players move onto the red platform and retract all of the boxes.

For the door, have one player stand on top of the other have the bottom player make a five-boxed right hook above yourself. Have the player on top jump to the door and the bottom player pull themselves up via the hook.

World 11-8

Boxes Used: 38

Have BOXGIRL stand on top of BOXBOY and have them make three boxes in this order: right, down, right. Shoot the box to the right so that BOXGIRL rides across to the other side. Then have BOXGIRL jump to the silhouette, moving the platforms. BOXGIRL then needs to stand on the left edge and make four boxes in this order without letting them go: left, down, left x2. This will then allow BOXBOY to make two boxes up and one to the right in order to hook onto BOXGIRL’s boxes and pull himself up to safety. Then have BOXGIRL retract the boxes.

From here, have one player teetering over the right edge and make four boxes to the right without letting them go. The other player can now jump on and jump over to the other platform whilst the player on the left retracts the boxes. Now the player on the right needs to make four boxes in this order without letting them go: left, down, left x2 and the left player needs to make two boxes up and one to the right to jump and hook onto the right player’s boxes. They can then pull themselves through and make it to safety whilst the other player can now retract their boxes.

Have BOXGIRL make four boxes in this order: right x2, up, right and then have BOXBOY stand on top of the bottom-left box. Have BOXGIRL shoot the boxes over to the right, into the crevice, and allowing BOXBOY to collect the Crown as shown in the image below. Now BOXBOY needs to make a four-boxed left hook and jump onto the top box; only then can BOXGIRL retract her boxes and BOXBOY will fall to hook onto the ledge, pull himself up and jump into the silhouette.

From here, have BOXGIRL make four boxes in this order: right x2, up, right and situate them so that the bottom-left on is sitting on the corner of the ledge. Then BOXBOY, standing over the left ledge, needs to make one box left, down and left again and drop them down to complete the stairs that will allow for BOXGIRL to join BOXBOY up the top. Have one player stand as far right as possible and make four boxes to the right without letting go of them. Then have the other player run across and jump to the other side and the first player can now retract their boxes. Have the player on the right stand on the far edge of the left side and make four box in this order without letting them go: left, down, left x2. Then the left player can make two boxes to the right and jump to the right, hooking onto the boxes and pulling themselves through. That player can now join the other, all boxes can be retracted and move on to the final section.

Have one player stand on top of the other, make a single box above themselves and shoot it to the right, pressing in the red button. Now the player on the bottom can make three boxes to the right, have the top player stand on them and shoot them over to the far right, collecting the Crown along the way.

Then have the player to the right make a single box to the right and use it as a step up. Have that player make two boxes up and two boxes left and shoot them to the left side into the crevice, pushing in the blue button and revealing the door. The player on the right can get to the door no problem, but the left player needs to make a three-boxed backwards L to use as stairs to get up to the door.

And with that, you have now 100% completed the co-op levels in BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
