BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! may start off pretty simple, but it gets tricky pretty quickly. So let’s get started on the A Tall Tale segment: World 2 (Upstanding or Laid-Back?).

As there is a lot to cover, you may stumble across a solution to a level that may either be incomplete or not to the best it could be. If you have any solutions, please be so kind as to email us at team@switchaboo.com and we’ll be sure to provide credit if we use it.

World 2-1

Boxes Used: 4

Rotate your way through the level until you reach the spikes. Make two horizontal boxes and throw them onto the spikes in order to cross. Then for the next set of spikes, make a single vertical box and throw it into the spikes to climb up and over.

For the last part and the Crown, stand on the edge of the ledge horizontally (so that half of Qudy’s body is over the gap) and make a horizontal box to the right. You’ll want to drop it so that it lands on the right and so you’re still being pushed down by the ceiling. Drop down onto the box and then push it to the left so that you can jump onto it and grab the Crown.

World 2-2

Boxes Used: 6

Make a single box horizontally to the right and drop it down into the first set of spikes. For the second, make two vertical boxes to drop down into the spikes, drop down onto them and rotate to the right to continue onwards.

For the Crown and the door, remain rotated to the right and make three boxes in this order: right x2, up. Drop them down onto the spikes, allowing you to grab the Crown and make for the door.

World 2-3

Boxes Used: 7

Make a single vertical box on the floating block and jump across.

For the second section and the Crown, rotate clockwise and make three boxes in this order: right x2, up. Drop it down into the pit to the far right, allowing you to grab the Crown and continue onwards.

For the last section and the second Crown, remain rotated to the right and make three boxes in the same order as last time. Throw them onto the floating block and jump on. Rotate anti-clockwise so that you’re upright and jump to grab the Crown as shown below. Rotate back to the right and make your way to the door.

World 2-4

Boxes Used: 9

Make a single vertical box and throw it onto the spikes to jump across (remember that you can turn sideways in order to hook yourself onto the ledge).

For the next part, be rotated clockwise and make a forward facing S (right x2, up, right). Drop the rightmost box onto the raised spikes and make your way across.

Lastly, remain tilted and make four boxes in this order: right, up, right, up. Drop it to the right part of the spiked dip, drop down to grab the Crown and make for the door.

World 2-5

Boxes Used: 13

Make three horizontal boxes and place it down so that the leftmost box is just hanging onto the ledge. Walk across and jump over the spikes.

For the Crown, make a four-boxed S (right x2, up, right) and throw them so that the rightmost box hooks onto the ledge. Now you can walk across and grab the Crown along the way.

For the next section, make the same order of boxes as last time and make your way up.

For the second Crown and the end of World 2, make a single horizontal box and throw it down onto the spikes. This will then allow you to jump to grab the Crown and fall onto the box. Now face to the left and make a single horizontal box to the left, allowing you to fall down and hook onto the ledge which you can pull yourself across.
